What is Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis is a Nd:YAG 1064nm laser that has a safe and effective solution for the treatment of nail infection (onychomycosis), more commonly known as toenail fungus.

What can cause a nail infection?
Dermatophytes are the fungi most commonly responsible for causing this condition. They are specialized organisms that live off of keratin which is the main component of nails and skin. Everyone is at risk for infection because fungus is present everywhere in the environment.

What are the symptoms of a nail infection?
10% of the population suffers from a nail infection (fungus) onychomycosis). Your nail might appear discoloured, thick, brittle, yellow or white streaks under the nail, the nail separating from the underlying skin and or a buildup of debris. It can cause pain when wearing shoes or walking.

What does Laser Genesis feel like?
Some clients might experience warmth and some mild discomfort. The laser light beam does not harm the nail or surrounding skin.

The treatments take approximately 20-30 mins. We treat the nails affected 30 days apart. In a series of two sessions.

How soon will I see improvement after my treatment?
The treatment will not cause your toenail to fall off or discolour. Toenails generally will replace itself every 9-12 months. So once the area is treated,  the healthy new growth will be visible within the first 3 months. 

Is the Laser Genesis a safe option for toenail fungus?
Laser Genesis treatments have no adverse effects and is a good safe alternative treatment. Some oral medications offered today can carry health risks (commonly affecting the liver and kidneys).
